My favorite things she says...
Sunday night Tay was all too ready to go to bed. I laid her down and she immediately curled up on the pillow and closed her beautiful eyes. I could not help but to stay next to her admiring how lovely and wonderful she is. After stroking her back for a few minutes and telling her how much I loved her and how spectacular I thought she was, she opened her gorgeous eyes and brought her index finger to her mouth and said "Shhh...Mommy, sleeping". With another breath she said "Tired", and turned her back to me. I gushed at how amazingly big she is at such a young age and how well she communicates.
Early, early this morning we were all laying in bed together. Tay was a little groggy and emotional from not feeling well. She looked over, saw her daddy and said, "Hold the Daddy!". Having him there so early was such a comfort since he has usually gone to work by that time. She curled up in his arms and immediately fell in to a peaceful sleep.
Earlier today she said two of the sweetest things...
Of course with all the sickness in the house, we are all carrying our own version of this yucky virus. I was sitting next to Tay on the couch and coughed. She looked at me, patted my arm softly, and said "My goodness, Mommy". HA! What a kid! Such compassion!
Tonight we were in her room where she had climbed in to her rocker with a book. As I sat on the ottoman, I sneezed. Tay promptly said, "Bless you, Mommy!". Again I sneezed with the same sentiment from that beautifully, sweet girl.
